Covid 19: Most CMs agree to increase lockdown in meeting with Prime Minister Modi
Every day there is an increase in the corona virus infected patients in the country. So far, more than 6000 people in the country have been hit by the corona virus. Today, PM Modi is meeting with Chief Ministers through video
conferencing. In the meeting, the CMs of most states have agreed to increase the lockdown. In the talks with PM Modi, 10 out of the initial 11 chief ministers have demanded to increase the lockdown.
In view of the Corona crisis, on March 24, a 21-day lockdown was announced in the country. April 14 is the last day of the nationwide lockdown that began on March 25. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi is meeting CMs of different states of the country through video conferencing today. It is believed that in this meeting, a decision can be taken on whether to proceed with the lockdown in the country.
In this meeting, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh have also given suggestions to increase the lockdown.

Kejriwal's demand for increased lockdown
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has demanded to increase the lockdown by April 30 in this meeting. CM Kejriwal said that the decision to increase the lockdown should be done at the national level. If the states decide on their level, then there will not be that much effect. At the same time, transport should not be opened in any case. No rail, no road and no air transport.
In this meeting, the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Maharashtra also demanded to increase the lockdown in the country. However, before this meeting, a decision has been taken to extend the lockdown till April 30 in Odisha and May 1 in Punjab.
