Corona virus: Salary to employees will not be able to increase lockdown
The lockdown has broken the back of small and medium industries. A survey by the Indian Industries Association (IIA) has revealed that if the lockdown increases, only 16.6 percent of entrepreneurs will be in a position to pay employees. The industry is also not satisfied with government and banking support received in the lockdown.
The IIA has demanded a large economic package. From this survey, it has come out that workers working in private industries and factories may have to pay salaries in the month of April. IIA has conducted an online survey among about 500 entrepreneurs of the state. The survey assessed the effects of lockdown and future conditions. All traders were asked 12-12 questions.
The result of the survey has come out, it is clear the problems of the traders. Production in most factories is completely stalled after lockdown. IIA Secretary General Manmohan Aggarwal says that according to the survey on 12 points, about 68.6 percent of industrialists said that they are ready to pay workers in the month of March. But 31.4 percent of the industrialists said that under compulsion they have to pay the workers.
If the lockdown increases, 83.4 percent of the employees have given up their salary for the month of April. Only 16.6 per cent agreed to it. Businessmen are also very unhappy with the help from banks. Only 28 per cent believe that banks are helping them at the level of working capital. 72 percent deny it. 77 percent of the businessmen believe that the government will not carry forward its relief package after the lockdown.
Sale will be reduced by 20 to 50 percent
The survey also asked entrepreneurs questions about the decline of their cell. 59.8 per cent of the traders have expected the sale to decrease from 20 to 50 per cent. 34 per cent of the entrepreneurs believe that their sales could be less than 50 per cent. 9 percent have predicted sales to fall by only 10 percent, while 6 percent say the lockdown will not be affected. 40.3 percent of the entrepreneurs have predicted large losses.
